Petzl developed the MAESTRO is designed to assist in a rescue operation. This easy to use device makes manipulation of heavy loads easier and can be used in a primary or back-up belay. This provides you the ability to adapt to almost any situation. The shift from lowering to hauling is immediate which can save you seconds when rescuing operations are underway. The large integrated progress-capture pulley mounted on sealed ball bearing ensures excellent efficiency. The AUTO-LOCK system will automatically lock the rope in position when the handle is not in use. Once locked, the rope can be taken up without having to manipulate the handle.
